Hello,

I have installed Octopus Server (currently version 3.7.9) in Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter and the the warning “As this step is running a PowerShell script the Windows Management Framework 3 (or newer) must be installed on the Octopus Server.” still appearing even after i installed the WMF version 5. Any clue?

Thanks for reaching out! That message shows up only as info/warning. Are you able to successfully run that step during the deployment, or are you getting any errors?

Hi Eduardo,

That’s good to hear. That message is mostly there because there’s still too many servers out there running old versions of Powershell. The minimum Powershell version to run the Octopus server is 2.0, but for that specific step you need 3.0, hence the need to have that fixed message over there.
