"Windows Credentials" login not working

Hi,

We’ve just installed our second Octopus server and during the configuration dialog we chose “Windows Credentials” as authentication method, updated the site and closed the configuration tool. But when looking at the site in the IIS manager under Authentication we’re missing the “Windows Authentication - Enabled - HTTP 401 Challenge” row which enabled Windows credential to be used. When trying to reach the admin portal we get a " HTTP Error 401.2 - Unauthorized" error. We have tried to restart both service, site machine and also we’ve updated the Octopus server to the latest version 1.5.0.1645 with the same results. Any ideas?

Thanks for getting in touch.

You will need to use the Windows IIS features management snap in to enable Windows Authentication in order for this to work.
