Why are the Octopus MSI's so much larger with 3.3?

Looking at past releases, I noticed the MSI almost doubled in size between 3.2.* (64) and 3.3.* (118MB?). It’s not a huge problem given that I have to copy the MSI to a remote deployment server, that transaction now takes significantly longer - we all know how slow corporate networks can get

I found that the Calamari.Azure.nupkg is ~50MB larger between 3.2.x and 3.3.x.

Hi,

Thanks for getting in touch. The follow-up reply is correct in that the Microsoft Azure Powershell libraries (which are bundled in the Calamari.Azure.nupkg package) have increased in size (greatly) thus the increased MSI installer size. Ideally, this should shrink as Microsoft continues to improve and update Azure and the libraries.

Hope this helps!
