We base our version off of the web package, so I’ve found that I must override the default:
Release versioning: Use the version number from an included NuGet package
This allows use to select the appropriate package from the “Versioning package step” drop-down list. The web package happens to be the last entry in the list.
If I save the settings and later go back to the Setting screen, the first package in the drop-down list is displayed as the “Versioning package step”.
I’ve found this to be incorrect as the processing does use the web page package. The web portal is just not displaying the saved value correctly.
