Users are unable to log in every few days

Hi,

recently I’ve faced the issue that users cannot login to Octopus Web Portal. All users are using AD authentication. The problem stops after the Octopus Windows Service restart and occurs again in few days (at the beginning after like 4 weeks, later every week, now after 2 days).

Current version of Octopus: 3.15.8
We’ve updated to that version last Friday- the update didn’t solve the problem.

Do you have any idea what is the source of our problem?

Thanks for getting in touch. I’m very sorry to hear you are having these issues. We’re gonna need a bit of info from your side to help with the troubleshooting:

  • Could you share us a screenshot of the error you see in the Web Portal when trying to login? If you could also check for any Javascript errors on the browser’s dev tools that’ll also help.

  • Could you send us the OctopusServer.log files from the time where you were getting these errors? Any kind of exceptions about logins should be logged in there. The log files are in the VM hosting the Octopus server under C:\Octopus\Logs by default.
