Use an artifact in another step

Hi,

I was just wondering if “step1” uploaded an artifact to octopus (New-OctopusArtifact) could this be downloaded in another step without touching the API?

I ask as i generate some certificates on our web server and upload them to octopus as artifacts but later in the script i would like to download these onto our terminal server box and install as trusted.

i’m sure there’s other way’s a could move files around but I feel as i upload them for use in other non octopus EV’s it would be easier to use these rather than duplicate copies.

Hi Kris,

Thanks for reaching out. I’m afraid the currently the only was to get the artifact is via the API. The idea is not bad though, so I went ahead and created a uservoice suggestion for it: https://octopusdeploy.uservoice.com/forums/170787-general/suggestions/17091685 . Would you mind dropping by and adding some votes to it?
