We still use octopus version 1.6. Now I plan to upgrade to version 2.4. My question is the follow
- Is it possible to run the 1.6 tentacle side by side with the version 2.4?
I would like to prepare my env. first and then switches slowly to version 2.4

Yes it is possible to run tentacles side by side as long as they listen on different ports.
In the import Wizard from 1.6 you can choose to make the tentacles listen on a different port. Then when you install the new tentacle just make sure to use a different port in the setup Wizard.
