Unable to cancel a task run from script console

Hi,

I tried to run a script using Script Console feature on Octopus Deploy, however for some reason, the task keeps running and I am unable to cancel it. it is being days, it is still display “Cancelling, cancellation has been requested, attempting to stop the task”.

Appreciate for any help!

Hi Jian,

Could you please tell me what version of Octopus you are running?

If you are running 3.x then you could try to “double” cancel (clicking the cancel button twice) the task, if that doesn’t work, if you restart the Octopus Windows Service and this should cancel the task on startup.

Double “Cancel” does not help, however restarting the windows service resolved the problem.
