Task status and output issues after upgrading to 2023.3 Build 12864

We’ve been experiencing a number of very strange issues with step and task output after upgrading our self-hosted Octopus Deploy instance to 2023.3 Build 12864 on 8/9.

Issues include:

• Tasks showing a failed status after completing even though all steps in the task ran successfully
• Steps still showing as in progress on the Task Summary tab of a deployment even after they have already completed (including sometimes after the whole deployment has completed)
• Steps still showing as blue and with no output output on the Task Log tab of a deployment even after they have already completed (including sometimes after the whole deployment has completed)
• Duplicate guided failure mode prompts for a single failed step on a single target

These problems are causing a lot of difficulty with tracking and troubleshooting our deployments.

Thanks for getting in touch! I think sending through some task logs would be the best first step in troubleshooting this issue.

Would you be able to raise this issue via our support@octopus.com email and attach the raw task logs for some tasks with these issues?

It could also help to see some screenshots demonstrating these issues.
