Scope deployment tot target machine

Hi,

I’m in the following situation: I have multiple machines with the label “webserver” and I want to deploy some of my projects to specfiic target machines. Right now I’m doing this manually with create release > andvanced options > Include specific deployment targets, but this is tedious (and i can only deploy to 1 environemt at the same time, because this options is not visibile when selecting multiple environments!).

Is there a way to solve this? I thought of creating specific labels for those machines, but I’m not sure if this is the way to go.

Thanks for getting in touch! This is what our Machine Roles feature is designed for. You can think of it as a way to TAG your targets to dynamically manage where you deploy to. Our documentation explains this feature quite well.

The way to go here is as you suggest, creating multiple tags for your machines.
