Restore archived certificate

Is there a way to restore an archived certificate. Say, for example, that the replacement cert has something wrong with it and we’d like to go back to the previouw one which hasn’t expired yet. Is the only way to download the old archived one, and then re-upload that local copy back up to Octopus as a new replacement? There is no simple, “restore” command that would essentially do this for you on the server?

Thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your query.

You can unarchive certificates as follows:

  1. Go to the “Archived Certificates” page
  2. Open the required certificate
  3. Click on the triple dot menu next to the “Save” button
  4. Choose “Unarchive” from the menu
  5. Click on “OK” to confirm

Thanks. Though I don’t appear to have that option. Must be my version 2020.6 (Build 4855) or permissions then… though I thought I had full permissions. Good to know it’s available though. I will check. Thanks.
