Reference the client ID of a Service Principal as a variable

is there anyway to reference the properties of the service principal in variables?
I know i can use it in a process by referencing serviceprincipalaccountname but i could do with passing the cientID to a step. does the concept of serviceprincipalaccountname#{clientID} work here?
