Project overview doesn't update to indicate deployment has finished

I’m running 3.0.3 and from the overview of a project if I start a deployment from the new UI, the task starts, the icon changes to the blue spinner, but even several minutes after I know the deployment has finished, the blue spinner remains and it doesn’t change to the green completed icon.

If I open a new tab to the same page it show the task has completed, but the original tab needs a manual refresh to reflect the task having completed.
