I’m seeing the same issue. I see “Check Tentacle health” as an active task, i cancelled it about 5 hours ago and it won’t cancel or go away.

Thank you for getting in touch. I split this conversation as the other poster’s problem has been resolved, and I don’t want to spam them with updates.
As with the other poster, do you have second tentacle running?
If not, what version of Octopus Server and Tentacle are you using? Are you using polling tentacles?
I recommend upgrading to the latest version, as we have made many improvements to the health check and cancellation. See this issue for details.
If you are on 3.11.5 or later, please send in the health check task log as well as the server log file.
If you are not on the latest version, restarting the Octopus server will move the task into the Cancelled state.
