PowerShell 2.0 Check Failing

Hi! We’re getting a PowerShell 2.0 check failure when installing the Octopus Tentacle (latest) on a Windows Server 2012 R2 server. We recently installed SQL 2016 SP1 CU1 on that box I think it might be related. Our first indication of a problem on that machine was when we had a Tentacle installed but the PowerShell was not triggering on deployment. We attempted to upgrade the Tentacle and can’t get the UI to let us past the PowerShell check.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It turns out the recently installed McAfee Endpoint Security Threat Prevention was causing the issue. When it got installed on the Tentacle’s machine I would run deployments, the deployment would be green, but the PowerShell (Deploy.ps1) would not run and the PowerShell 2.0 check would fail on reinstalling the Tentacle. We’ve uninstalled McAfee as the fix.
