Polling tentacle on linux/docker

Is it possible to deploy to linux/docker-on-linux using a polling tentacle?

Our current setup for numerous ubuntu servers are built on periodic running docker-compose up -d on a docker-compose.yaml file which is downloaded from our server.

The servers are periodically online and are not reachable through SSH without us having to setup VPN etc which we are trying to avoid.

A similar question is asked here :Linux Poller Tentacle/.NET Core Port?

If there is any beta stuff available I will be more than happy to test it.

Hi @tca

Thanks for getting in touch!

The answer is not at this stage, however Tentacle on Linux (specifically to allow for polling connections) is definitely on our roadmap and we are working to provide a somewhat accurate ETA apart from hopefully this year. We are currently firming up our plans for Q4 and a more detailed spike as to what is required for this work is planned so hopefully we should be able to provide some guidance in the next few weeks.

Sorry I don’t have anything concrete for you,

Regards,
Alex

I really hope that polling tentacles on Linux can become reality in the near future

Thank you for your reply!
