Octopus Server 3.0.24 much slower than 3.0.7

I recently upgraded from 3.0.7 to 3.0.24 and the page load times when hitting my Octopus server are much slower than before. This is happening on every page.

I attached some of my diagnostics logs (let me know if guys need more info)

edit: I’m also looking into whether or not our SQL Server instance had any hiccups, since the logs seem to imply timeouts

Thanks for reaching out. In 3.0.12 we also introduced an HTTP logging feature that would be helpful for your troubleshooting http://docs.octopusdeploy.com/display/OD/Enable+web+request+logging

Other things I would check are:

  • Are you experiencing the same slowness when using Octopus from the Octopus server itself hitting localhost?
  • How’s the CPU and RAM usage of your SQL server during the slowness?

Thanks for the info - just to close the loop on this, it was indeed a problem with our SQL server.
