Octo.exe and TLS 1.2

When we disable tls 1.0 the octo.exe can not communicate with the octopus server. Gives the error - Unable to connect to the octopus deploy server. The underlying connection was closed.

If tls 1.0 is enabled it works as expected.

I noticed in a post on this site from 2016 it indicated this issue was fixed.

We are running version 2018.4.6.

Thanks for reaching out! Couple of troubleshooting questions to try to understand your scenario:

  • Which version of Octo.exe are you running?
  • What do you see in the console output when you run it with TLS 1.0 disabled? Can you send me a full screenshot of this besides the text piece you pasted?
