License/Renewal Question

I have a question around renewal cost. We currently have a Team license that expires in April. We are looking at upgrading the the Enterprise License because we are looking at including additional deployment targets that will put us over the limits of the Team license.

My question is this: what happens with the 12 months renewal cost ($1000) we are about to pay? The upgrade comes looks like it comes with 12 months of support so are we throwing away $1000 if we end up upgrading in May?

I’ve looked at the upgrade page (https://octopus.com/upgrade) and it doesn’t look like it takes into account remaining support months when you upgrade.
