Here is the scenario, on the target machine I need to launch an application that is a server that needs to receive commands via command line tool. I am guessing since the application has a GUI it cannot be launched via the tentacle for whatever reason, is there a workaround for this?

Thanks for getting in touch! Have you tried configuring the Octopus Tentacle service to “Allow service to interact with desktop”?
If the above does not help, would you be able to attach the full deployment log where you run into this issue?
