Key advantages of upgrading from octopus 3.3 to 3.8

Hi…

I am using octopus 3.3.X can anyone tell me what are the key advantages in upgrading to octopus 3.8.X?

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out! There are a lot of key advantages to upgrading from 3.3 to 3.8. We are consistently adding new features, bug fixes and updating the UI layout with each Release. Our Compare Releases feature lists all of the highlights for each minor version at the top, and it keeps you up to date with big fixes and enhancements. I’ll outline a few of the big changes since 3.3:

Multi-Tenancy is designed to help you more easily deploy multiple instances of your project to each environment.

Elastic and transient environments allow a deployment to continue if a target machine goes dark.

Step templates have had a nice UI overhaul to be more user-friendly.

Subscriptions allow you to “subscribe” to events with email and webhook notifications.

There are many more that I haven’t touched on. Take a look at our blog where we regularly post updates. You can also check out our demo server which is using the latest version to see what has changed in an interactive way.

Don’t hesitate to get back in touch with any followup questions or clarifications on what you’re looking to achieve with Octopus
