I am automating the installing of the Octopus Tentacle in my infrastructure. With every deployment we destroy the VM and re-create it with the same hostname.
In the initial installation we register the tentacle on the Octopus Server which of course creates a deployment target with a unique thumbprint.
What I wish to do is when the VM is destroyed and re-created, to re-install the Octopus tentacle and have it use the same thumbprint as original so that the deployment target registers as the same target.
Could you advise on the best way to do this from your experience?
