I recreated Jenkins project and now at build number 1 again, with Octopus expecting much higher number

I am asking advice on which approach to follow when reseeding a projects build numbers.

I recreated Jenkins project and now at build number 1 again, and octopus is expecting much higher number, lets call this ‘x’.

How do I get Octopus to see that the latest number is not ‘x’ anymore, but now 1?

The screenshot is just an example, but I am not in a position to build the jenkins project e.g. 58 times. In other projects it runs in the hundreds.

Hi,

Thanks for getting in touch! Unfortunately when you have releases where your version strategy changes or resets, the only way to ‘reset’ Octopus to start using a lower version number is to delete previous packages that we would find in the feeds.
If you also need Octopus release versions reset, again deleting the previous ones is the only way forward.

Sorry it is not better news!
