How many tentacles can 1 octopus server support?

At what point does one need to start using multiple octopus servers?

  • When using polling tentacles
  • When using listening tentacles

Would it be possible to connect 500 polling tentacles to 1 octopus server? 1000 tentacles?

Thanks for getting in touch! We have a customer with over 9,000 tentacles. You wont need multiple servers to run that amount of Tentacles so long as you have the hardware to support it.
