If you are using a community step template and find that it is missing a parameter for the underlying tool being used, you can update the step template to add the parameter.
Make a copy and update
Open the step template in your Octopus server’s library and click the green Save As Copy button.
Give your copy of the step template a name.
This will create a copy of the step template that is local to your server. You can add any additional parameters and make any adjustments to the script that you need.
Submit a change to the step template
If you think that the changes you’ve made will benefit the larger Octopus community, consider contributing your change back to the library.
