Feature Request: Step grouping on release creation

Guys,

Currently I’ve a deployment process that has numerous parent steps with about 6 to 8 child steps within each parent step. Few things ive noticed that would make life alot easier and the deployment process more user friendly.

  1. We can currently create child steps but we cant clone the parent step. Would be really handy to be able to clone a parent step.
  2. Parent Steps are grouped on the reorder of steps but when you go to create a release you cant skip a parent step. Would be very useful to be able to skip all child steps within a parent step? Is there a way of achieving this?
  3. Disabling a step. currently there doesnt seem to be a way to take a step out of the loop without removing it from the process. I currently set the environment to a setup that doesnt exist so it wont run during the deployment process if i need to take something out while its been fixed without failing the rest of the deployment.

Feedback welcome…

Cheers,

N.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. No the first one barking at these trees! I was able to find Uservoice suggestions for all of these items. Please drop by their links and add some votes to them so we can consider including them on future releases.
