I want to add a phase/environment to my Octopus project, but can’t use the lifecycle currently attached. I’m going to create a new, identical, lifecycle with just the new phase/env. When I attach it to the project, will that simply add a new environment with no deploys and keep the record of the one’s already done with the former lifecycle, or reset all the environments?

Thanks for reaching out to Octopus Support and for your question about changing your project’s default Lifecycle.
I wasn’t sure how changing the default Lifecycle would impact the project Overview screen, so I did some testing. It looks like in this scenario where your new Lifecycle is just adding a new environment, you’ll continue to see your previously deployed environments like in your first example.
