Default deploy directory

Hi,

I am looking for a way to change the default deploy drive and directory from c:\octopus… our sysadmin has all our environments setup so that sites can only be deployed to the d drive, and the c drives are quite small and locked down. I read another discussion which mentioned that this was fixed to c:\octopus - http://help.octopusdeploy.com/discussions/problems/338-octopuspackagedirectorypath-results-in-two-extractions. I wondered if there was any way to change this at all?

Hi Lee,

From the start menu, search for Tentacle Administration Tool - this allows you to reconfigure the Octopus Tentacle service. There’s a deployment tab on this tool that has a field where you can change the default installation path from C:\Octopus.
