Can't install the VSTS extension: Extension operation denied by event callback

Hey Guys,

I tried upgrading to the latest version of the extension, but it didn’t seem to add the new build steps, so I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but when I tried to reinstall, the VSTS marketplace gave me this error (I’ve also attached a screenshot):

“Extension operation denied by event callback. The task.json file was not found for contribution OctopusBuildAndReleaseTasks/Tasks/CreateOctopusRelease.”

I noticed someone else in the comments had the same problem. Any ideas?

Hi Ben,

Apologies for this - at first glance it appears to be an issue due to a change in the Marketplace. I’m following it up with Microsoft and will get back to you very soon.

It is indeed solved. I could install the extension without any problems now.

Yes, there was a fix rolled out by Microsoft that resolved this issue. I hope you get some good use out of it!
