What are the communication required to be opened from the Octopus to Azure AD

Hi,
We are planning to integrate Octopus with Azure AD, as per the instructions provided on the octopus website.

Our Azure AD administrator have an question about the integration. Below is his question.

“What are the communication (Ports) required to be opened from the Octopus to Azure AD?”

Can we please get the guidance on this?

Regards,
Rahul

Hi @manjunatha.karekal,

Thanks for getting in touch!

All communications are standard web requests (HTTP/S), so ports 80 or 443 depending on your setup should be fine.

Paul

Thanks Paul,
Our Azure AD administrator is asking whether Octopus is able to use SAML authentication against Azure AD. Could you please confirm?

As per the Octopus documentation it is recommended to integrate Octopus with Azure AD “by setting it up as an App in AAD”.

Hi Rahul,

We don’t have any specific SAML auth options for AAD.

The only way to use AAD with Octopus is as it is shown in the documentation.

Regards,
Paul
