Username or password is incorrect?

Hi,
I am installng Octopus Deploy for the first time. In the config wixard, I’m asked to specify an account. I specify a domain account but I get an error “username or password is incorrect.”

The account is not locked, it’s active. Account is local admin on the server and has “log on a service” rights.

Server is Windows Server 2012 R2, as are Domain Controllers.

Please advise?

Hi,

Thanks for getting in touch! Can you try to select the user from the built-in into Windows user account selector as shown in our installation guide video? If this still doesn’t work can you please provide a screenshot of the installation screen with the error?

Yeah I did that. This is working fine when I’m logged into the server as a domain account.
