Upgrading tentacle version requires administrative rights?

Hi,

Do a user need to be an administrator in Octopus to update tentacles, shouldn’t it be enough with Environment Manager? I’m using Octopus Deploy 2.5.8.447.

Hi Jonas,

Thanks for getting in touch! Yes you have to be an administrator to upgrade Tentacles.
Our thoughts on this matter are that only an administrator would know when it is appropriate to upgrade a Tentacle.
There are too many things that need to be taken into account that an Environment Manager might not know about.
