Has anyone done any work on deploying tentacles in a Windows Container? Does a repo exist?

Thank you for getting in touch. The only repo we have is one that sets up OctopusServer inside docker, but it is still a work in progress. I believe we ran into some networking issues at the time.
However it is quite easy to automate an install of a Tentacle.
We have recently added support for Docker containers, which may be of use to you.

Hey Robert,
I was actually looking for a Docker repo (not a github repo) with just the
Octopus Tentacle rather than the full Octopus Deploy software. The support
for Docker containers seems to be for deploying software to containers.
I’d like to use a windows container to deploy tentacles into my
environment. Can you tell me if anyone there has done that work? Can you
tell me if anyone was prevented from doing it because of technical
problems?

Hi Eric,
As far as we know there are no public repos of Octopus Tentacle docker images. We have done some testing internally, but stopped when we ran into issues with the networking being unreliable. That is more an issue with Docker on windows though.
The only limitation we know about is that a tentacle will not run on Nano Server as it does not support the .NET Framework.
