SQL Server upgrade in Octopus Deploy server 3.16.2

Hi guys,

I’m currently using SQL Server 2014 Express Edition for octopus Deploy Server 3.16.2. Our policy require us to upgrade the SQL Server to at least SQL Server 2016 version or above.
May I know if octopus Deploy 3.16.2 support the SQL Server 2016 Express Edition?

Thank you for getting in touch, and welcome! Yes, Octopus version 3.16.2 is indeed compatible with SQL Server 2016 Express edition. You can reference the documentation page which lists SQL Server 2008+ as the minimum for Octopus 3.0 -> 2019.13, where 2020.1.x the minimum was bumped to SQL Server 2016, so you’ll also be good to go on an Octopus Server upgrade if/when you’re wanting to.
