Sensible variable mask other variable, even after the value of the sensible variable is changed

Hi

I had a sensible variable that had the same value as another value and thereby masking it (so it seems), but changing the value doesn’t change that the previous masked variable still is masked.

In short variable A and B had the same value. B was sensible and therefore masking A. I’ve changed the value of B, but A continues to be masked.
Any idea how to “reset” what strings are masked as ***** ?

Thanks for getting in touch! We cache the value of a sensitive variable so where ever we have to print it out, it is masked.
The only way to clear the cache is to reset the Octopus Server service.

It did help. Perhaps a feature in a future version to flush the cache without restarting the entire platform?
