Renaming an environment

Hi,

I would like to rename an environment that is in use. Will a rename break anything or will all references to the environment (on machines, variables,steps etc) in Octopus be changed automatically?

Hi Jonas,

Thanks for getting in touch! If you use the interface to rename the Environment you should not have any problems with references.
Old deployment task logs and snapshots will keep the previous name, but all new references will use the new name.
