Release Versioning parameters

I am looking into changing the release versioning scheme. I want to follow a fairly simple pattern of YYYY.MM.DD.revision. But, I can’t see how to get the values of the year, month and day. Is there a way to supply these somehow? Something that would evaluate expressions would be great.

If there’s a way to do it with 2.4.1, please let me know…

No, not currently, though the new version templating in 2.4 would make this feasible to add on our side. It’s a great suggestion - we’ve added it to the 2.5 bucket and will see how we go from there:
