Regarding "Deployment to the server in a VPN"

Hi,

In octopus can we deploy to the servers Staging or Production which we will access with a VPN, so in these servers can we deploy without a VPN through Octopus?

Hi Murali,

Thanks for getting in touch! As long as you can install a Tentacle, and the server can either poll or be accessed through an IP address and port, you can do what you need.
If the server is really locked down and this communication couldn’t happen then no.

Thanks for Replying…

We configured the Tentacle as “Listening Mode” and we opened the Port too…but we are not able to deploy to the Satging or Production servers without VPN.

Hi Murali,

If you cannot access the Tentacle from the Octopus Server using some of the following techniques, you will not be able to use Octopus to deploy to these environments.
