I am stepping into a project that has an octopus server that was using a local MS Sql Server database. Unfortunately the database was accidentally dropped 
Will I need the Octopus license key to reinstall the database? The person who has it is out of the office for a couple weeks and I am stuck. Or is that stored somewhere in the registry? The Octopus Manager application starts up but the service will not run without the database.

Hi,
Everything you will need to get the database back up and running from a backup is stored in the Octopus.Server.config file. The most important part in this scenario is the Master Key which is used to encrypt and decrypt sensitive values in the database.
The license is also stored inside the same config file.
