Polling tentacle service stopping

Hi,

I was just wondering, if a polling tentacle has a period of not being called (a few days/weeks) is it likely to stop running? We have various instances of tentacles that stop running and I can’t see any errors. This does seem to only be on our less used environments/machines though so i assume that’s the issue?

Thanks for reaching out! That’s definitely not the expected behavior.

  • How often does it take for them to stop running?
  • Have you checked the event viewer for realted entries? this does sound like windows is doing something funny.
  • Do you think you can track the Tentacle logs of the time of the stopping? by default they should be on c:\octopus\logs on the Tentacle machine.

Nothing stands out as an issue at the moment. I’ll keep an eye on the problem and if I can narrow down the issue i’ll report back.
