Packaging A Console Application

Hi,

Does Octopack package console application projects? I’m trying to package a console application and it isn’t working. I’ve seen Web Application and Service Applications mentioned in the documentation and I’ve got them working. But I’m failing on the Console Application.

Also, I’ve not looked yet, but how about Database Project deployment?

Hi Tim,

You should be able to create console application packages in the same way as creating Windows Services. OctoPack can be a big help:

Octopus doesn’t currently do anything special for database projects - I’ll try to write up some guidance on how to deal with databases soon.

Thanks Paul,

I was using Octopack, but an uninstall and reinstall in the Package Manager Console did the trick.
