Octopus Deploy issue-task log is empty

Hi,
We have issues when we deploy web application using Octopus Deploy.

Task progress success. But task log is totally empty. The log only shows "This task started 14 minutes ago and ran for 3 seconds . " Message.

Can you help me with this issue?

Hi Zhen,

Does anything appear when logging into Octopus as a user in the System Administrators group? If not, can you please:

  1. Take note of the task ID; you can find this in the browser’s address bar when visiting the Raw log output page (http://docs.octopusdeploy.com/display/OD/Get+the+raw+output+from+a+task) - it will look like: ServerTasks-1234
  2. On the Octopus server machine, open the C:\Octopus\OctopusServer\ActivityLogs folder and search for a file with the same name as the server task ID

If the file exists, can you please examine its contents and let me know what you see? If it doesn’t exist, that would be interesting also.

Sending the OctopusServer.txt log file from the time of the deployment would also help; it should be under C:\Octopus\Logs.
