We’ve done a test run of migrating our multi instance Octopus server and database. When creating a new instance through the Octopus Server Manager and linking into a newly restored version of the existing database the Artifact folder gets prepopulated with lots of CommunityActionTemplates. Are these the Community Step Templates? Not sure if we need them or not. Currently we’ve kept them and then copied in the ‘Artifacts’, ‘Task Logs’ and ‘Packages’ folder from the source server.
You are 100% correct that the CommunityActionTemplates that you are seeing in your Artifacts folder are the artiftacts for the Community Step Templates (logo’s etc). Removal will make everything look a little weird with the Community Step Templates, but they should still operate as normal.
