MS TFS and GitHub Integration

Hi Team,

For version controlling changes to our source code using GitHub and for compiling code integrate with TFS web portal. Octopus Deploy will take care of the deployment.

Now, Service Endpoint has been created to bridge the communication between GitHub and TFS web portal and Build task also created to perform the build

However, we are getting below error message from TFS build

Unable to match any source repository endpoints with any of the supported source providers

Could you assist us to resolve the above issue, so that we established the Continuous integration and delivery pipeline will look like as below when we are finished

Regards,
Ayan

Hi Ayan,

Thanks for getting in touch!

Doing some searching for that error bring up a few older bugs in TFS that may be related, so it would be worth checking that you’re using a later version than the ones mentioned there.

If you’re already using an more up to date version, than I would suggest reaching out to Microsoft for support on this one. As the error is occurring outside of Octopus it is a little outside of our area of expertise.

Paul

Thanks Paul for your quick response on my post. Appreciated !
However we are using TFS 2018 update 2

Ayan

Hi Ayan,

In that case the best I can advise is to reach out to Microsoft for support on this.

Paul
