Migrating Octopus Server database to Azure SQL Database

Hi,

We have Octopus installed on an Azure VM instance with SQL Server 2016 installed directly on the same VM. We would like to migrate the Octopus database to an Azure SQL Database instead. Just a few questions:

  1. What is the recommended Azure SQL instance size? I.e. how many DTU’s or vCores? In terms of load, the expectation is that we will have up to 200 instances with around 20 users, 20 projects and 20 deployments a day.
  2. Do you have a recommended way of migrating the database across to the Azure SQL? We’re considering using the Microsoft Data Migration Assistant tool.
