May scripts be located in any folder within the package?

Regarding http://docs.octopusdeploy.com/display/OD/Custom+scripts#Customscripts-ScriptsinPackages

The above docs do not specify a location for PS scripts in packages.

Therefore, may PS scripts be located in any folder within the package?

Hi Michael,

Thanks for contacting us and pointing that out. I’ve updated the documentation to include this. If it’s one of our convention scripts, it must be located in the base directory of your package.

Kind regards,

Kenny

Does this apply to powershell scripts?

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the reply. Yeah it does include PowerShell scripts. The only ones that have to be in the base directory are our convention scripts (PreDeploy.ps1 for example). The following link has the full list of these:

To clarify, for PowerShell scripts on a script step used in a package it doesn’t have to be in the base directory as you define the path to the script.

Kind regards,

Kenny
