In this post suggestion was raised:
Im now asking for best workaround in current version.
What we want
We would like to have one manual intervention, for all tenants together, before deploy to Prod.
We are thinking of:
- Create an environment (and phase) called “Ready for Prod”. Phase will be between “Stage” and “Prod”.
- The only tenant connected to “Ready for Prod” is the Octopus server itself
- The only active step in “Ready for Prod” is a manual intervention
- The step manual intervention is disabled in all other environments
This means all releases must pass the phase “Ready for Prod”, where a manual intervention is needed, before its possible to promote to Prod.
Could this be ok?
Thanks for getting in touch! I think your workaround is great! I can not think of an easier way to achieve such a global intervention at the moment.
Sorry if my response is a bit short, but I can’t think of any way to improve on your workaround.
Let me know if you have any further questions or thoughts here.
Thanks for your response. Short is ok
We just wanted to make sure we had an ok solution before implementing it.
