Hi , I installed tentacle on one of the Linux server and tentacle service is up and running. i have HA proxy between Octopus server and tentacle. when i am trying to register tentacle from Octopus server , getting an strange issue.
An error occurred when sending a request to ‘https://xx.xx.xx.xx:10933/’, before the request could begin: Proxy destination ::ffff:XX.XX.XX.XX on port 8443 responded with a 503 code - Service Unavailable Proxy destination ::ffff:XX.XX.XX.XX on port 8443 responded with a 503 code - Service Unavailable.
how ever , the tentacle which are registered already are connecting and health check is oK.
Thanks for getting in touch! Sorry to see you’re hitting this unexpected issue. I have seen 503 errors be a result of a temporary outage of your proxy service, but I can’t be certain that’s the issue here. Could you let me know what kind of proxy you’re using? Do you see any errors in your proxy’s logs?
I have also seen with the commonly used Squid proxy, non-standard ports like 8443 (i.e. 80 and 443 being the standard HTTP and HTTPS ports) need to be manually allowed. This process to allow non-standard ports is outlined on this page:
