As we are developing with feature branches, and each test of a feature branch requires a deployment to the test system, the number of packages in the Octopus Package Library is growing very quickly. Is there a way to automatically delete packages from the library after a release? Or otherwise limit the number of packages of a certain type?
Thanks for reaching out. It is possible using the Repository Retention feature, as long as you are using the Octopus Built-in feed.
More info about this feature at the bottom of this doc: http://docs.octopusdeploy.com/display/OD/Retention+Policies . I’d recommend you to read all of it though, as all the info there is relevant for what you want to do.
