Latest octopus server version installation failure

Dear Team,

Trust you are doing good.

Currently, we are using Octopus server version “2019.13.2”.
Now, when we are trying to install the latest Octopus server version “2020.3.3”, we are getting error “The version (13.0.5102) of your SQL Server doesn’t satisfy Octopus Server installation requirements.” (PFA logs for more details)

As we have checked, the version of SQL server is “Microsoft SQL Server 2016 (SP2-GDR) (KB4532097) - 13.0.5102.14 (X64)” and we can’t upgrade the SQL server version.

Kindly suggest other alternate suggestions to successfully install the latest Octopus server version “2020.3.3”

Thanks for getting in touch!

The minimum SQL Server version was raised to 2017 in Octopus 2020.x so at this point the only route forwards will be to upgrade your SQL Server version.

During the failed upgrade, no changes will have been made to your database so you can re-run the installer for 2019.13.2 to bring the Octopus Server back online, if you have not done so already.
